Makeup Appointment Guidelines 💄

 

I want every appointment to be a relaxing, fun, and seamless experience for both of us. Please take a moment to review the guidelines below before your appointment:

    1.    Please arrive with a clean, bare face

No serums, heavy moisturizers, or oils before your appointment. I will prep and moisturize your skin using products that work best with the foundations and concealers I use.

    2.    New to makeup? Start with a Natural Glam

If you’ve never worn makeup before, I highly recommend booking a Natural Glam look first. This helps ease you into makeup and allows us to build toward more dramatic looks in the future.

    3.    Please avoid eating or chewing gum during your appointment

Excess movement can affect the makeup application and overall finish.

    4.    Clients with long lash extensions

If you have dramatic or very full lash extensions, I recommend booking a Natural or Soft Glam look. Heavy shimmer or glitter looks can easily transfer onto long lashes.

    5.    Please avoid wearing turtlenecks or tight necklines

This helps prevent makeup transfer and keeps your makeup looking flawless.

    6.    Remove large earrings before your appointment

Large earrings can get caught in brushes or tools and may become uncomfortable during application.

    7.    Please stay face-forward during your makeup application

Makeup appointments require more focus and stillness than hair appointments. I’ll need your face lifted and facing forward as much as possible to ensure the best results.

    8.    Wig & baby hair tip

If you wear wigs with baby hairs, please ask your stylist not to place them directly over your eyebrows. This makes brow shaping and contouring much more difficult.

    9.    Talking during brows

I absolutely love catching up and chatting with my clients! The only time I ask for minimal talking is during brow application, since facial expressions and brow movement can affect symmetry. Once brows are done, feel free to chat away 💕

    10.    Choosing inspiration photos

When selecting makeup inspiration, keep these things in mind:

 

    •    Eye Shape: Not every eye look works for every eye shape. Some looks are better suited for almond, hooded, small, or larger eyes.

    •    Skin Tone: Certain colors and tones may appear differently depending on complexion.

    •    Artistry Style: Every makeup artist has their own style and technique. While I will always do my best to recreate your inspiration photo, the final look will still reflect my artistry and signature style.

 

    11.    Wear your makeup with confidence

Makeup is an accessory and a form of self-expression. If you love your makeup, that’s what matters most 💋

    12.    Posture matters

Please sit upright during your appointment. Slouching can make certain areas more difficult to perfect and may affect the overall application.

    13.    Relax & enjoy the vibe

The studio atmosphere is usually a mix of R&B with a little rap here and there. Come ready to relax, vibe out, and enjoy your glam session for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    14.    No extra guests

To maintain a comfortable and professional environment, extra guests, children, and additional visitors are not permitted during appointments. Please respect this policy to avoid cancellation.
